St. Pat’s Midfielder Ariana Quackenbush Commits to Lambton Women’s Soccer Program for 2025 Season

SARNIA – Another Fighting Irish alum is on their way to Lambton College.

Midfielder Ariana Quackenbush has officially announced her commitment to Head Coach Kevin Simmonds and the Lambton Women’s Soccer Program for the 2025 season, and beyond.

Quackenbush is the second member of the 2025 recruiting class for Simmonds and the rest of the Lions coaching staff. Come September, Quackenbush will join fellow midfielder Katie Griffiths (Mt. Brydges, Ont.) as a newcomer in a Lambton uniform when the 2025 season kicks off.

“I’m extremely excited to be part of the Lambton Women’s Soccer Team,” said Quackenbush after making her collegiate decision official. “I’m very vocal on the field and supporting my teammates, and I’m excited to be a presence on the field for the Lions.”

“I’m looking forward to the new opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in September, and the new environment at the college level.”

Quackenbush, a five-foot-eight midfielder, comes to Lambton College by way of Sarnia’s St. Patrick’s Catholic High School, becoming the latest in a long line of Fighting Irish alum to join the Lions. She primarily plays center back, but she also has the versatility to play as an outside midfielder, giving Simmonds and company some flexibility on the midfield alignment.

In the summer months, Quackenbush currently plays for the Sarnia Women’s Elite Program.

In joining the Women’s Soccer Program at Lambton College, Quackenbush will be reunited with several players that she has played alongside over the years. Having the opportunity to play with some familiar faces is something that Quackenbush is looking forward to, and she said that the level of familiarity they have with one another on the field will make her transition to the college game a bit easier.

For Simmonds, he is looking forward to having Quackenbush on the roster, citing her two-way

“We are excited that Ariana will be playing soccer at Lambton College,” said Simmonds. “She is a talented player with strong defensive and attacking skills.”

“Ariana is great on the ball and can see the whole field. She will be a great addition to the Lambton Women’s Soccer Team.”

Academically, Quackenbush will be enrolled in the Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant Program at Lambton College.

Welcome to The Den, Ariana!
