Lambton Junior Lions

About Our Program

The programs that the Lambton Jr. Lions will be involved with are competitive in nature. The U16 and U18 programs will centre around playing in the OBAs and the OBL. The intent of playing at a competitive level in these leagues will be the primary focus of these teams.

The Lambton Jr. Lions Programs will play out of Lambton College. The affiliaiton with Lambton College will be utilized to maximize an amazing opportunity for local youth to play out of a state-of-the-art recreation centre on campus. The relationship with Lambton College is intended as an opportunity to strengthen the relationships of the local (city, county, and neighbouring communities) high school athletes by working collaboratively in the offseason of high school basketball.

The hope is that this program will be able to maximize the number of participants by offering both a U16 and U18 program for young women and men. Teams will not be capped by a specific number, and may include practice players to further development. If there is a demonstrated significant demand for the creation of U15 and U17 teams, the goals and direction of the Lambton Jr. Lions would be re-evaluated to accommodate this need.
