London Dinamo Winger Ken Richer Commits to Lambton Men’s Soccer for 2025 Season

SARNIA – Tapped into the Forest City for another talented addition.

Ken Richer has officially announced his commitment to Head Coach Adam Lakey and the Lambton Men’s Soccer Program for the 2025 season, and beyond.

Richer is the first member of the 2025 recruiting class for Lakey and the rest of his coaching staff.

“I’m excited to be here and officially commit to Lambton College,” said Richer. “I’m looking forward to being here in September.”

“I’m looking forward to being part of the team, meeting new people, and doing whatever I can to help the team be successful. I’m just really looking forward to what comes next for me here.”

Richer, a five-foot-ten winger, comes to Lambton College by way of Saunders Secondary School in London. He is the latest recruit in a long line of student-athletes to attend Lambton College from the Forest City.

This season, Richer is one of the captains of the Sabres Senior Boys Soccer Program.

Outside of high school, Richer plays for London Dinamo F.C., which is formerly known as LS Croatia, out of St. Thomas. Back in March, Richer and three other members of London Dinamo F.C. had the opportunity to travel to Croatia to train with the U19 program as well as the Croatian National Program.

Richer and others were selected to attend the training sessions by scouts who traveled to Canada to lead sessions of their own with London Dinamo.

London Dinamo F.C. is an affiliate partner of GNK Dinamo Zagreb.

For Lakey, the commitment from Richer to the Men’s Soccer Program is one that had been in the works for some time, and he’s thrilled to have Ken in the fold moving ahead.

“Ken is a player who has been on our radar for a while,” said Lakey. “We expect that Ken will come in and contribute right away.”

“We had a chance to watch him at the Western Tournament recently, and we were really impressed with his skill, intelligent off-the-ball movement, and tenacity. We believe he can contribute at a number of different positions. His versatility gives us flexibility, and we’re really excited to have him as part of our program.”

Richer was also quick to point out his own versatility and ability to play multiple positions on the field. When asked what his primary position is on the field, he was quick with a one-word answer.

Everywhere.

Richer often plays on the wing, but he’s also spent considerable time as a midfielder and a striker. With his high school team this year, while he is listed as a striker, he’s also on the team’s roster as their back-up goalkeeper despite having never played a game in net.

When he steps on the field in September as a member of the Lambton Men’s Soccer Program, Richer hopes to let his versatility shine, and he’s willing to do whatever the team needs him to do for the group to be successful.

“I’m going to go out there and try my hardest,” added Richer. “No matter what position I’m playing, I’ll always be out there hustling, doing whatever I need to do for the team.”

Academically, Richer will be enrolled in the Sports & Recreation Management Program at Lambton College.

Welcome to The Den, Ken!
