Lions Men’s Basketball Lands Commitment from Coveted Shooting Guard Milos Lukac for 2025-26 Season

SARNIA – Got our guy.

Shooting guard Milos Lukac has officially committed to Head Coach James Grant and the Lambton Men’s Basketball Program for the 2025-26 season, and beyond.

Lukac is the seventh member of the 2025 recruiting for Grant the rest of the Lions coaching staff. He joins a talented incoming class of recruits that features the likes of Blake Redfern (Mitchell, Ont.), Liam Tosh (Brantford, Ont.), Traivon Hayes (Brantford, Ont.), Billy Van Boxtel (London, Ont.), Kadin Cantrell (Port Huron, Mich.), and Mekhi Wilson (Burlington, Ont.).

“Milos is a player that I have been really hoping would commit to Lambton College for quite some time,” said Grant. “His abilities really match what we are looking for in a player at his position.”

“His athleticism should make the transition into our program seamless. His ability to shoot the ball is something that we are hoping can replace what we are losing with the graduation of Jerry Wilson, as well. To top it all off, he is a great person which fits the type of team we are building. I couldn’t be more excited to see him suit up this fall as a Lion.”

Lukac, a six-foot-one shooting guard, comes to Lambton College by way of Hamilton and Glendale Secondary School. Away from high school, he plays for Head Coach Rod Alfaro with the West United Prep Academy U19 Program. He’ll be reunited once more with teammate Mekhi Wilson in the fall in Lambton colours.

Both Lukac and Wilson made their commitments official on the same day, and that moment wasn’t lost on Lukac.

“Just happiness,” said Lukac when asked what emotions he was feeling after making his collegiate decision official. “Especially signing with one of my closest friends, you know … just happiness.”

“Lambton College is a great place with lots of opportunity. I just want to get ready to work and see what we can do there.”

Back at the beginning of March, Lukac and company were in South Carolina competing in the BIG SHOTS Nation Prep Nationals Tournament. West United Prep Academy - Blue came away with the Diamond Division Championship, and Lukac was named a Prep Nationals High School Diamond Orange All-Star alongside teammates Lucas Macklem (MVP) and Joshua Ntumba.

If you go back a bit further, you’ll see Lukac with his full repertoire of skills on full display. In early December, Lukac nearly recorded a quadruple double in a win over Kitchener Impact Academy. He finished the game with 14 points, 12 rebounds, 12 steals, and nine assists.

When asked what fans can expect to see from him on the floor this coming year, he mentioned his endless energy and giving 100% effort on every play. However, one of the things he’s looking forward to most about what lies ahead in September is the relationships he’ll make along the way.

“I just want to think of it as new friends,” continued Lukac. “The friends you make alongside the basketball part of the journey, it just continues.”

Academically, Lukac will be enrolled in the Border Services Program at Lambton College.

Welcome to The Den, Milos!
