Team Green takes out Team White in 6th Annual Game

Team Green defeated Team White 109-105 on Tuesday night in front of a few hundred fans on campus. The annual inter-squad game, which gives the College community a chance to see the men's basketball team before it heads out on the road for pre-season play, went off without a hitch and saw some great performances from both veterans and rookies.

Reigning OCAA Scoring Champion Branden Padgett led the way for Team Green with 30 points, rookie forward Jay Trojek had 27and 4th year guard Jason Marshell put up 26. Scoring was rounded out for Team Green by LJ Robinson-Ceres with eight, Jimmy Hendriksen and 3rd year forward Frank Benneh with six each, Paul Whitson with four, and Jarel Campbell two. Incoming forward Xavian Edwards had a huge game for Team White, scoring 27 and pulling down 14 rebounds. It was a balanced scoring effort from Team White, as Ousmane Kromah scored 18, Mitch Humby 12, and 2nd year guard Colton Vaters, Akot Dhal and Mark Lue-Hue netting ten each. Garth Horley scored seven, Kurtis Brisebois six and Brett Holly two to round things out.

The Lions travel to Kingston this weekend for the Vikings Invitational. They will tip-off against Centennial College at 9pm on Friday night.
