SARNIA,ON - With a good cause the theme of the night, the Lambton Men's Basketball team and the Sarnia Men's All-Stars put on a show Thursday night.

The student groups of Lambton College partnered with Lambton Presbytery and the North Zone Catholic Churches to assist in their sponsorship of Syrian Refugree Families. With the stands packed full of fans, the college raised $300 towards the efforts. The night was part of a larger campaign effort by Lambton College called "Fill the Globe", where students fundraise through different events in support of Syrian Refugees and their families.

The game itself was a back and forth affair through most of the game, before Lambton pulled away in the second half for the 112-89 victory. For the Lions, it was a total team effort with 12 players finding the bottom of the bucket. Shawn Hill led the way with 25, while Branden Padgett and Mike Lucier chipped in with 21 and 20 points respectively.

For the Sarnia All-Stars, Nate Dixon shot red-hot from the field, finishing with 18 points. Lambton-great Chad Perriera, as well as Nick Bucci and Ivan Skinn, all finished with 11 points.

The Lions are back in action Wednesday, January 13 against their rivals the Fanshawe Falcons. Game time is 8PM.
