Lions Fall in OT Thriller in Niagara

WELLAND,ON - A pair of buzzer beaters sank the Lions on November 28th, as the battle between two of the top teams in the Canadian Collegeiate Athletic Assciation was a game to remember. The Niagara Knights, who moved to 6-2 with the win, hit a half court shot to tie in regulation, and a deep 3 in overtime to stun the Lambton Lions 94-92 at the Welland Athletic Centre. 

The Lions, now sitting at 6-3 going into the break, played strong from start to finish but couldn't stop the frenzied, last second shooting of the Knights. With momentum on Niagara's side going into overtime, Lambton managed to take the lead but a scramble 3 with no time on the clock from the Knights' D.J. Morrison sealed their fate. 

Shawn Hill led the Lions offensively with 29 points while Mike Lucier grabbed an impressve 14 rebounds in the loss. 

Lambton will resume play in 2016 against their rival the Fanshawe Falcons on January 13. Game time is at 8PM.
