The 2019 season is just around the corner, and for the Lambton College men’s soccer team, that means a fresh start.

Last season wasn’t the best of years for the program. After posting a record of 4-6 during the 2016-17 season, the men’s soccer program has been in a rut over the last two seasons. The team has failed to notch a win in each of the last two seasons, a stretch that saw the team post a record of 0-10 during the 2018-19 season.

However, one can’t change the past, but you can impact the future. With their attention focused squarely on the upcoming 2019 season, the Lions will be looking to get back on the right track in the OCAA – West Division and make positive strides with the ultimate goal of reaching the OCAA Men’s Soccer Championship, and beyond.

In advance of the new campaign, the men’s soccer team will be hosting two days of walk-on try-outs. The dates and times for the try-outs are as follows:

• September 3rd - 6 p.m.
• September 4th - 6 p.m.

Both try-outs will take place at the Lambton College Soccer Field.

The regular season officially gets underway on Saturday, September 7th when the Lions welcome the visiting Conestoga Condors to the Lambton College Soccer Field for the Lions' home opener. Back in 2016-17 was the last time that the two schools met on the soccer field, and the Lions completed a regular season sweep over the Condors with a 1-0 win. On their home turf, the Lions will look to make it three straight wins over the Condors when the home opener rolls around. 

All prospective student-athletes are asked to fill out the Prospective Student-Athlete Form online prior to attending the first try-out.
