Women's Basketball Welcomes Fleischmann and Crowe to the Roster

It's been an exciting week for Lambton Basketball as both men's and women's teams have announced the recent signing of recruits for the Fall 2019 varsity season.

The Women's Basketball team officially welcomed Emily Fleischmann and Cassidy Crowe as they signed their official commitment letters at a signing event on Friday.

Fleischmann, a 6'3" post from Reese Michigan, recently graduated from St Clair Community College in Port Huron, a member institute of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) in the United States. During her career there, Emily averaged 13.6 rebounds and 11.8 points per contest at the collegiate level. Emily will be entering the Sports & Recreation Management program at Lambton College this fall.

"This is my first American recruit for the Women's Basketball team as head coach of the program," said Kendel Ross. "We are ecstatic to add Emily to our roster and look forward to leveraging our relationship with St. Clair Community College in the future."

Crowe, a 5'10" shooting guard, has been a dominant basketball player in Sarnia since elementary school. An all-around player, Cassidy has elite level competition experience and will definitely be a standout player within the OCAA when she takes the court this fall.

Coach Ross reflected on the depth and experience Cassidy will bring to the team, "we are very excited to welcome Cassidy to our squad as she brings an unparalleled amount of maturity and knowledge to our team that will be invaluable throughout the season."

Emily and Cassidy are both key additions to an already strong returning and incoming class. The Lions return to the court October 18, 2019.
