2019-20 Varsity Schedules Released

Excitement continues to build for Lions fans as the 2019-20 regular season schedule was recently announced by the Ontario Colleges Athletics Association (OCAA). Coming off an impressive 2018-19 season that saw the launch of a new varsity logo, the opening of a 40,000 sq. ft. Athletics & Fitness Complex and a birth into the OCAA Men’s Basketball Championship, the Lions are looking to leverage this momentum into a strong showing out of the gate this season.

It will be a busy fall for the Lions with the addition of Men’s Baseball to the line-up. Baseball kicks off its inaugural season on the road against Seneca College with a double header on Saturday September 7. Fans looking to participate in this milestone season can cheer on the Lions during their first home game at Errol Russel Park on Wednesday September 11. The Lions will play a double header against division rivals, St. Clair College at 6 p.m. & 8:30 p.m.

Men’s & Women’s Soccer returns to the pitch with their home openers on Saturday September 7. Both teams will battle against Conestoga for the first W of the season. The Lions will then hit the road for their next two games, returning home on September 21 for a match-up against Niagara College. Both teams will be looking to continue into the post-season following their last game against Redeemer University on October 10.

Men’s and Women’s Basketball will both see pre-season action in September with official league play kicking off on October 18 at home against Niagara College. Building off of a successful 2018-19 post-season run, the Lions expect packed stands for the Home Opener. The Women’s team looks to better their 1-1 record against the Knights and the Men’s team looks to avenge two late game losses from last season. Both teams are encouraging fans to come out and help the Lions #DEFENDTHEDEN

Prospective athletes are encouraged to complete the Prospective Student-Athlete Form prior to Open Try-Outs which will occur for all sports during the first official week of classes.
